Life Is Not About What You Have

Image
"How much of that money can you bring to the grave." The youths pause and stare at him. A retired veteran shouts to some youths tossing money in the mall. After a split second, laughter proceeds as the youths continue money tossing. All I can think of is the distance of lifestyle between the youths & the elderly. Scriptures remind us that life is not about the abundance in which one has according to  Luke 12:15 . Scriptures also explore that uprightness and contentment compliment one another mentioned  in 1Timothy 6:6 . We can often set our eyes on wealth forgetting it has wings and is ready to fly at any given moment displayed in Proverbs 23:5 . Not to neglect the fact that every generation comes to face to face  with poverty noted in  Proverbs 27:24 . However,  there is one set of riches that we can continue exploring until the  Messiah returns... That's right..... The riches of good works targeted in  1 Timothy 6:18 !!!

Make Your Yes YES & No NO

Image
"Son... In life, you have to make a decision and stick to it". It was a concerning word from a concerned father.  On the bus sitting across from  this father with his son,  a deep conviction struck me to see his son stand firm in decision-making. What about our decisions in the sight of our Heavenly Father?? Scriptures remind us that decision making is key here on earth according to  Matthew 16:19 . Whether it be a case of forgiving someone advertised in  John 20:23. Or the opportunity to display mercy as mentioned in  James 2:13. Saying "Yes" or "No" can be the most anticipated or devastating words to hear but it must be said  mentioned in James 5:12. Here is a little revelation, Satan loves when we are doubtful or indecisive noted in Matthew 5:37. So let us speak up boldly with courage with YEHOVAH Spirit knowing the days of doubting did not help our faith discussed in Romans 14:23.

How Can We Clean Our Thoughts???

Image
"I gotta get my mind clean."  A man's agony bursts out in a Youtube short film. What is the best way to be clean in YEHOVAH's eyes?? Scriptures remind us that our minds are naturally polluted according to  Matthew 15:15-20 . Our thoughts can be cleansed in 3 Set apart ways : 1) Our thoughts can be cleaned through complete detoxing displayed  in Isaiah 33:15 . 2) Our thoughts can also be cleansed through mental purging away from worthless things mentioned in  Psalms 119:37 . 3)Our thoughts can be rinsed thorough by meditating on YHVH Word noted in   Psalms 119:9 . In this world full of many polluted battles starting in the mind. We can still choose to bring our disturbing thoughts to the purity of surrendering to YEHOSHUA that our minds become  sound !!!

Are We Praying For Our World Leaders???

Image
"That Donald Trump is a piece of work." The customer in line beside me yells out as we look up at the television mounted on the wall  inside this new health and wellness restaurant. He proceeded to say : "I'm so glad the Creator doesn't want us to pray for these fools." Or does HE??? The Scriptures remind us that all governments set up today are under the ordering of Most High according to  Romans 13:1 . Scriptures also point us to a reality that kings or rulers are appointed and dismissed by The Eternal One's timing mentioned  in  Daniel 2:21 . We often overlook the dangers of  having loose lips when speaking on rulers noted in  Ecclesiastes 10:20 . Saul reminds Timothy in a letter that we should be praying for our world leaders instead of shunning them on their decisions in  1 Timothy 2:1-4 . Kepha even exhorted the brethren on being subjects to their worldly government knowing  rulership roles in the future coming up for authentic believ...

To Procrastinate Or Be Lazy???

Image
"Honestly... I would rather be lazy than procrastinate." Bold words out the mouth from a teen who speaks in front of his peers on the subway train. How would these two situations size up according to the Scriptures? Hmmmmm. Scriptures remind us that procrastinating & laziness is not to be apart of our characteristics according to  Proverbs 3:28 & Proverbs 19:15 . The initial difference is a procrastinator will at least start a project . In contrast, a lazy individual does not start at all . Scriptures gives us more emphasis how on laziness according to Proverbs 6:9-10 ,  Proverbs 19:24 ,  Proverbs 20:13   &  Proverbs 23:21 .  YEHOSHUA gives a heartfelt parable warning us that our laziness can impact our salvation towards the resurrection detailed in Matthew 25:14-28 . Let us all who truly believe remain diligent knowing a servant of Thee ETERNAL who works shall be in His kingdom called to rule mentioned in Proverbs 12:24 & Proverb...

Are You A Garment YEHOVAH Would Wear???

Image
"If you were a clothing garment, would YEHOVAH wear you to go out?" A youth camper is asking a camp counselor this question. Counselor response: "You campers say the craziest things." Now what happens if that question is directed towards us? Scriptures remind us that our sins are like filthy rags in the sight of YEHOVAH according to the verse in Isaiah 64:6 . So by making any continuation in sin, definitely won't make us  be in our Creator's wardrobe. We do see Thee Eternal One has a fashion sense for mercy, compassion, humility, patience displayed in Colossians 3:12 .  Also the servant Job got some clothing tips by our Eternal Designer mentioned in Job 29:14 . Even the angels loved the dress code of Thee Eternal One's innocence of purity discussed in Mark 16:5 . In The last days while many walking the colorful runway of sin. Believers of The Way are informed to keep their commandment keeping outfits unspotted, less we get them stained by the world ...

Your New Family Awaits!!!

Image
"Forget you. You're just family by blood." A frustrated young man yells out in grief in the park. A Samaritan close by says : "You gonna be okay?" The young man responds:   "Spirit will always be thicker than water." The Samaritan then nods his head and hugs the young man. Scriptures remind us that many of us go through family woes and it could be worse if we constantly put them before Thee ETERNAL ONE mentioned in Luke 14:26 . Our very Messiah gave us the heads up that in this walk you are gonna experience changed relationships discussed  in  Luke 12:49-53 . YEHOSHUA  also made this clear to all who were His Eternal family members located in   Mark 3:31-35 . So should we use this opportunity to neglect our biological family and responsibilities ? Absolutely not!!!   As one who neglects their responsibilities is more worse than an unbeliever according to 1 Timothy 5:8 . On the other side of the quarter we are not to neglect the household of...

Don't Wish For The Good Ole Days

Image
"Yep. Those were the good ole days." My uncle utters as he sips his lemonade after watching his favourite old time commercial. His friend coughs out: "You know that's not biblical to say that." My uncle echoes:  "What are you talking about Earl." Me in my head:  " I believe Earl was on to something more than just some heated argument." Scriptures remind us not to reflect on the good old days in  Ecclesiastes 7:10 . By doing this it will hinder us from moving forward as mentioned in  Philippians 3:13-14 . The Kingdom of YEHOVAH is designed for those who don't look back as discussed in Luke 9:57-62 . Remember all the things we have witness in this life has been already recycled, so nothing is really new as mentioned in  Ecclesiastes 1:9 . So let us strive not to reminisce on the good old days when we can anticipate a peaceful future ahead according to Isaiah 2:2-4 .

A Prophecy That Effects Us All !!!

Image
"That lack of water over there cannot effect us here." My brother tells me this with a facial expression of satisfaction. Me with a stern look. "Are you sure about that my brother?" "What are you talking about?" My Brother responds. Scriptures says this world will never be flooded out again in  Genesis 9:15 . Scriptures also remind us that heat will be used as a future humbling of humanity in  2 Peter 3:8 . Since YEHOVAH formed the earth from water and through water according to 2 Peter 3:5 . HE is going to remind us all that what was given can also be taken  in  Revelation 7:16 . Knowing that this world is getting warmer by the day and sin is igniting the warmth. Let us strive to seek YEHOVAH now while HE may be found  in Isaiah 55:6 & John 7:37 .
