Are You Happy Or Joyful?

 "Let us be joyful, not just happy."


The pastor echoes this loudly as the congregation shouts.  "Amen."


Watching this on television years ago, pondering what the difference is.


 Years later, there actually is a difference:





Happiness is a temporary feeling. 

Joyfulness is more of a constant attitude.


Happiness is external.

Joyfulness is internal.


Happiness is dependent on the circumstance.

Joyfulness is independent of the circumstance.


The Scriptures remind us to count it all joy when we go through trials in 

James 1:2.


The Scriptures also tell us that the long-suffering we go through won't  compare to the everlasting  joy in 

Romans 8:18.


Not to neglect when we get persecuted, we are to be joyful knowing we are a part of a family foundation in 

Matthew 5:12.


Being members of  The Way. We are assigned to rejoice always in

1 Thessalonians 5:16 & Philippians 4:4.


 Will you accept this assignment daily & Joyfully ???

  "What book are you reading?"  This older yet elegant woman says to me. My response while sitting on a bench by a quiet park: "The Scriptures." The woman responds : "That is good to see you are into Biblical Forensics?" I told her : "I like the sound of that." "Biblical Forensics." Hmmmmmmmm... Scriptures remind us that we are called to prove all things  according to 1 Thessalonians 5:21 . We are here to test and detect the wicked of this world noted  in 1 John 4:1 . Our inspections are not to be taken lightly with the evidence we have been given displayed in Luke 12:48 . So with the overwhelming evidence as being apart of YEHOVAH's Forensic's team - Revelations 5:10 . Let us always be careful not to tamper with unchanging & crucial evidence put before us -   Deuteronomy 4:2 & 2 Timothy 2:15 !!!

Will You Let YEHOSHUA Have The Last Dance???

  "Ehhh.... Are you looking for your dancing shoes?" My elder utters as he passes by our fellowship center. My response: "Dancing shoes?" He responds : "Don't be late for the last dance with the Bridegroom?" Then, he proceeds to walk away humming one of his favorite hymns. I'm now thinking out loud : "The Bridegroom." Then another quick thought echoes out : "OOOHHHH ...THE MESSIAH.........." Scriptures remind us that there is a soon coming wedding to take place mentioned  in Revelation 19:6-10 . This wedding will be more entertaining than the dancing of King David noted  in 2 Samuel 6:14 . With all the rejoicing sounds of the harps and tambourines  demonstrated in Psalms 149:3 .
